Edgar Cayce, the sleeping prophet made many accurate predictions. Yet some of his predictions didn't come true. Why? Quantum physics may have an answer.

There have been several predictions and prophecies surrounding world events — for example, the Mayan prophecy about the earth’s destruction in 2012 is popular among new agers and historians alike.

Do all predictions come true? Why are some predictions uncannily accurate whereas others are proven wrong?

Are Predictions More Than Coincidences?

There are some people that believe that predictions that come true are mere coincidences. A study of Edgar Cayce’s predictions could help understand that prophecies have more to them than being mere coincidences.

Edgar Cayce is the most documented psychic of modern time. Also called the sleeping prophet, he would go into a trance while making predictions. It is said that he accessed his information from the akashic records.

Some of Edgar Cayce's Predictions That Came True

Cayce correctly predicted the beginning and end of world wars I and II. His readings mentioned that the stock market would crash in 1929 and that the Great Depression would be lifted in 1933. He predicted the Holocaust in Europe in 1935, the death of two Presidents in office - Roosevelt and Kennedy. He saw the collapse of communism nearly 50 years before it happened. A total of 15 years before the state of Israel was founded, Cayce foresaw this event.

Which of Edgar Cayce's Predictions Didn't Come True?

Not all of Cayce's predictions came to pass. He said that Mt.Etna would erupt and the Mediterranean would rise at the same time, which has not happened. He also said that New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco would be destroyed by the end of the 20th century. He foresaw that most of Japan, southern portions of Carolina and Georgia would be destroyed, though none of these events has occurred.

Why do Only Some Predictions Come True?

To understand predictions, it is useful to consider quantum physics. The future is seen as something fluid, subject to change, based on choices made in the present. This is consistent with principles of quantum physics, which states that a particle exists in wave form until it is observed, at which point, it solidifies as a particle. When a particle is in wave form, there are still several possibilities available to it, which makes future predictions about the particle, subject to the laws of probability.

Psychics, like Cayce, are able to see the possibility of the most probable outcome at a given time. Sometimes, mass consciousness might change and a different outcome might ensue.

No prediction about the future could be completely right. The future is not set in stone and is subject to changes based on every individual’s thoughts and actions.
